Aardvarker Music
Aardvarker Music has been specifically formed to support emerging talent like ‘The 9ines’, whom we currently manage. We have established some renowned contacts, friends and associates in the music industry of whom have supported us from the start and we plan to continue to develop this part of the business.
Our debut act is:
THE 9INES
Justin Gregson and Alex Wright have been a song writing duo since they met seven years ago whilst auditioning for a place at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). Justin was one of the lucky few to meet and have a song writing session with Paul McCartney. Justin and Alex have been writing music together ever since but for a while Alex’s time in the band The Red Deltas meant their musical collaboration took a back seat.
Alex was previously the drummer for The Red Deltas, and since childhood has been a close friend and some time musical collaborator with Danny Jones (McFly). He has now honed his talent as the lead singer for ‘The 9ines’.
Justin has a very musical background, with his father Edward Gregson www.edwardgregson.com being a well-known composer in the classical world and previous to his retirement was the the Principal at The Royal Northern College of Music. Justin has been writing and producing music for many years and focuses his work mainly around his instrument of choice – the piano.
‘The 9ines’ recorded both of their debut singles Walk Tall & Be Free at (former Jethro Tull drummer) Barriemore Barlow’s Doghouse Studio in Shiplake nr. Henley (which has attracted the likes of Amy Winehouse, Baby Shambles, Mark Ronson, Starsailor, Lily Allen, You me at Six and N-Dubz amongst many others),
The 9ines have had some great musicians collaborating with them on these debut tracks including singer Sam Brown, Peter Knight formerly of Steeleye Span and Nick Fyffe, ex-bassist with British funk band Jamiroquai.

Feels like you’re singing your own song
Feels like you’re standing on your own
Sometimes I just want to be heard
Take time you’ll live and then you’ll learn
When I walk tall
So I don’t feel small
But I won’t be beaten by the flames that are reaching the
highest point of all
You lay your head on your pillow
and feel there’s nowhere left to go
But now you’re standing like a stone
and now you’re singing on your own
When I walk tall
So I don’t feel small
But I won’t be beaten by the flames that are reaching the
highest point of all
don’t stop, never give up no, never give up when you feel broken
There will be a better day
And you can find your way
When I walk tall
So I don’t feel small
But I won’t be beaten by the flames that are reaching the
highest point of all
